“Napakaswerte ko po,” Ramil Comendador said. “Di ko nga po alam kung paano ko pasasalamatan ang Panginoon talaga at yung mga taong nagbigay ng lakas sa akin,” he added.
“I am number 914,” the former janitor said while referring to the list of passers. “Sana po wala akong kapangalan,” he quipped.
Ramil Comendador shared that he started working in the private sector after graduating from high school. He later got married and had two kids, now ages eight and four.
From 2007 to 2010, he worked as a janitor in Comelec. He then took the civil service eligibility exam and he was admitted as the legal researcher of the commission.
Ramil Comendador enrolled in a law school in 2011 and using his salary in Comelec, he got to pay his tuition. He noted that his wife, who’s an engineer, helped him, especially in their household expenses.
