Robin Padilla had this future plan
Senator Robin Padilla said that if the system of the government in the Philippines will not change, he is ready to leave the country.
Padilla is currently serving as a Senator of the Philippines after topping the 2022 national elections, garnering a total of 26.6 million votes. He is also the first Muslim senator in the country since 1995.
In July 2024, he became the president of Partido Demokratiko Pilipino (PDP). Padilla is the head of the Senate Committee on Constitutional Amendments and Revision of Codes. The actor-turned-politician is known as an advocate for Charter Change (Cha-cha) and federalism.

Sen. Robin Padilla is also known as an ally of former President Rodrigo Duterte and incumbent Vice President Sara Duterte. He was one of the Duterte supporters who strongly opposed the former President’s detention at The Hague. Padilla also led a signature campaign to show support for FPRRD.
In a recent interview on Bilyonaryo News Channel, Padilla mentioned about his decision to sell the Padilla Museum. The actor-politician recently shared a video showcasing the details of his property that it up for sale.
When asked why he is selling the said property, Padilla shared that since 2010, he already told his wife, celebrity vlogger Mariel Padilla, how he wanted to retire abroad. He also saiid that with this aim, they already visited the Netherlands and Germany.

Right now, he said that if the system of the Philippine government will not be changed, this will encourage him to leave the country, and enjoy his time with his wife, and their kids.
“Hindi ako naniniwala sa sistemang ito. I’m sorry, patawarin niyo ako, di ko nakikita ang future sa sistemang ito,” the Senator said.
Sen. Robin Padila also shared that initially, he wanted to settle in Brunei, but his wife did not like the hot temperature there. They also considered Iceland. However, the Senator said that the cost of living in the country is high, which is why he is selling his property.
He also debunked the speculation that it is to support him financially for the next elections. Padilla stressed that he won as number one senator even without spendind money.
