North Korea have already launched five missile tests and 2 of them were conducted last year. There are some speculations that the communist country will have its sixth missile test this year, after a failed missile test during the 105th birth anniversary of Kim II Sung.

South Korean and U.S forces were unwilling to publicly discuss the deployment of the advanced missile defense system due to the upcoming presidential election this coming May 09, 2017. They were debating whether the move will go ahead or be delayed after the election.
