The social media post about a certain Edward Pangilinan went viral.
EDWARD PANGILINAN – A Facebook user shared in her post an alleged encounter with a kamote vendor who claimed that he has an illness.
Based on a recent post of netizen Pau Vislenio in her Facebook account, she met Edward, also known as Patricia Centino, on April 13 in Sanctuario de San Antonio Parish.
According to the netizen, Edward offered them sweet potatoes, locally known as kamote, so that he can have some money for his medication. Empowered by curiosity, Vislenio stated that they asked about Edward regarding his illness.
Vislenio stated that Edward claimed, while he was sharing his story, that he is known in BCG and Fort. He even allowed the netizen to take a video of him so others will know about his story and there’s a chance that others will help him.
According to the netizen, Edward claimed that the payment for his chemotherapy was due that day and he is lacking eight thousand to complete the one hundred thousand payment.
Vislenio stated that Edward said that in that 92 thousand, 70 thousand was from Billy Crawford and 20 thousand was from his uncle. He allegedly said that the rest of it came from selling sweet potatoes.
“Pag di ko to tinulungan ngayon at may masamang mangyari sa batang ito, pagsisisihan ko habang buhay,” Vislenio thought based on the post.

The netizen claimed that they helped the boy sell his kamote outside the church. She gave him P100 when he asked for some money as he felt thirsty. She stated that Edward did not return her change.
According to her, she got curious when she told him that she will be the one to find a way for the lacking Php. 1,000 but Edward told her that he will just go home and he will be the one to look for it.
Based on the post, the netizen claimed that Edward said as they were walking that actor Billy Crawford gave him iPhone 6 and he was asked by Billy to choose between a motorcycle and the mobile phone.
However, he said that he pawned the phone for his medication. The netizen stated that it appeared to her and her friend that he was asking some money for him to be able to get the phone.
Vislenio added that Edward said that his doctor is Dr. Christian S. Potor. When she got home, her mother told her that she called the hospital and found out that there is no Dr. Christian Potor there and Edward Pangilinan is not their patient.
The netizen stated that lots of people sent her messages on Facebook claiming that Edward fools other people since before and he was even asked by his mother to leave their house for what he is doing.
The netizen ended her post by stressing that what the boy is doing is really wrong. The post went viral and it has already reached more than nine thousand shares.
