Camp Of Dr. David Dao, United Airline’s Passenger Dragged From Seat, Breaks Silence

A statement has been released in behalf of Doctor David Dao.

DOCTOR DAVID DAO – A statement on behalf of Dr. David Dao, the United Airlines Passenger who was dragged from his airplane seat, has been received by the CNBC according to Steve Kopack.

Based on a recent Twitter post of Steve Kopack, the statement stated that the doctor is still “undergoing treatment” in a hospital in Chicago.

Chicago lawyer Stephen L. Golan who represents the family of Dr. Dao along with Chicago aviation attorney  Thomas A. Demetrio expressed that the family of the doctor desire to inform everyone that they really appreciate the “outpouring prayers, concern, and support they have received.”

Furthermore, the lawyer added that as of the present, the attention of the family is poured on the treatment of Dr. Dao.

According to the Atty. Golan and Atty. Demetrio, the family is seeking for privacy and will not be issuing statements to the press not until the doctor is discharged from the hospital.

Based on a previous news report, videos of the incident on plane wherein a doctor has been dragged from his seat to make rooms for the employees of a partner airline of the United has circulated on the social media platforms.

According to Tyler Bridges, those passengers who are going to give up their airplane seats were offered a hotel stay, $400, and $800 voucher. However, none of the passengers was willing to give up their seat.

Bridges said that the manager of the United Airlines came and spoke to the passengers. The manager told them that they would pick randomly.

According to United Airlines spokesperson Charlie Hobart, the police authorities were then called after the fourth passenger who was picked refused to give up his airplane seat. The first three passengers voluntarily gave up theirs.

Hobart expressed that the employees of Republic Airline have to be in Kentucky or some flights would be cancelled due to lack of employees.

Speaking in an interview with the Associated Press, the manager of the United Airlines said that they did the “right” procedures. On the other side, Oscar Munoz, the CEO of the parent company of the United Airlines, called the incident as “upsetting”.

Based on a video posted by Business Insider on YouTube, the airline has already released a statement asking for an apology for the “overbooked situation”.
