Senator Trillanes Revealed President Duterte Planned To Assassinate Him
Senator Antonio Trillanes revealed that President Rodrigo Duterte allegedly planned to assassinate him since he took his office.
According to Trillanes, he found out the alleged planned assassination from retired SPO3 Arthur Lascañas, a self-confessed hitman who suggested to one of Duterte’s most trusted people to make the assassination of the senator to appear like an accident.
The senator discussed it as a respond to the statement released by Justice Sec. Vitaliano Aguirre II during the rally of Duterte supporters in Luneta, saying that the government will chase Trillanes next to De Lima.
Senator Leila De Lima was arrested last week due to drug-related charges on her alleged involvement in the proliferation of illegal drugs at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) a few years ago. De Lima was currently detained at the detention center of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Camp Crame.
Trillanes said that he was on the top of Duterte’s hit list, but there were no charges filed against him and instead the president wanted to kill him because of anger.
Trillanes also said that Lascañas told him that after Mr. Duterte won the election last year, retired SPO4 Sonny Buenaventura, one of Duterte’s aide approached him of the planned assassination of the senator.
The senator is also aware of his demise, he also said that an intense investigation about it would certainly point the blame on the president. Lascañas was afraid to be involved in assassinating Trillanes, so he suggests to Buenaventura that the senator’s death should look like an accident such as car accident.
Lascañas also revealed that president wanted to kill several people, but the self-confessed hit man would expose it during the probe in Senate on Thursday (March 02, 2017).
