Bea Borres Gets Real About Single Motherhood & Why Financial Stability Matters
BEA BORRES – Internet personality Bea Borres is speaking from experience as she opens up about single motherhood and why having money is crucial when raising a child alone.
Bea Borres recently marked a new chapter in her life after launching her baby care brand Peaboo Baby on Sunday. The event not only celebrated her business venture but also highlighted her journey into motherhood as a single parent.
Known for often being at the center of online discussions and controversies, Borres opened up in an interview with ABS-CBN News about the realities of raising a child on her own. She admitted that motherhood has come with emotional challenges, especially when it comes to caring for her baby.

“It’s so hard kasi sometimes my baby would cry. And I don’t know what to do. Hindi ko alam kung nasasaktan siya or kung may nangyayari na ba sa kanya. I just want to take all her pain away,” Borres expressed.
Borres also shared practical and honest advice for women who may find themselves becoming single mothers. She emphasized the importance of financial preparedness, noting that raising a child alone can be extremely difficult without stability.
“Bago kayo maging single mom — sorry ha pero ang totoo talaga ay life is so hard — dapat talaga ay may pera kayo,” she told ABS-CBN News.
She added, “Before you guys do anything, make sure na may pera kayo. Hindi mo masasabi kung kailan ka mabubuntis.”
Despite the challenges, Borres encouraged single moms to prioritize themselves and stay strong through difficult times.
“Lagi mo talagang uunahin ‘yung self mo. Unahin ang self. Always put yourself first. Kakayanin n’yo ‘yan. And always have a mindset na, ‘God will always provide.’ Kasi nariyan na, eh. Just be strong,” she said.
The content creator also revealed that she already sees herself as a strict parent. According to Borres, she believes in teaching her child independence from an early age.
“Nakikita ko na kasi na may pagka-strict ako. I want her to be independent. Sinasabi ko talaga na, ‘No.’ Some parents ay natatakot na mag-no. Ako, hindi talaga. Magno-no talaga,” she shared.

As one of the country’s most talked-about female online personalities, Borres admitted she has grown used to negative comments on social media.
“Sanay na talaga ako. For my peace of mind, I don’t check Reddit. Minsan na lang. ‘Yung comments, sanay na talaga ako. Kung may nadadamay at naba-bash because of me, sinasabi ko na lang, ‘Sis, I’m so sorry.’”
She further shared, “Halos parang every month, may issue ako. Hindi ko rin alam kung paano ko kinakaya. I think people think that I’m so strong kasi halos quarterly nga, eh. Mayroong masasabi sa akin ‘yung people. I just live life. Siguro na-adapt ko na rin ‘yung mindset na people will say what they want to say so might as well just live.”
Borres added, “Hindi ko na iniisip. Hindi naman sila relevant. Ngayon, may bago silang script. Hindi na ako naniniwala. Bahala na lang sila.”

While criticism does not easily affect her anymore, she admitted that she sometimes enjoys responding to online bashers.
“Ang saya-saya kasi sumagot sometimes. Pero I really try not to. Pero ang saya-saya. Hindi puwedeng kayo lang ang masa-satisfy sa mga sinasabi n’yo. Dapat ako rin. I’m very palaban.”
However, Borres confessed that criticism directed at her child would be difficult for her to handle.
“Diyan ako pinakatakot sa [part na ‘yan]. I can handle it. Pero siguro kapag na-bash na ang anak ko, parang ayaw ko na, parang guguho na ‘yung mundo ko. It’s just so scary to post your baby online. She’s cute talaga. Tinitiis ko na lang talagang hindi i-post.”
Despite the challenges, Borres said she genuinely enjoys creating content and sharing her life online.
“Masaya ako sa pagko-content and being myself. I’m really enjoying [doing] content. I really like posting my life online. Growing up, I’ve always enjoyed the camera. Pero recent ko lang na-realize na mas gusto ko pala ‘yung authentic self ko. I really enjoy vlogging.”
Her newly launched brand Peaboo Baby offers a range of vegan and toxin-free baby products such as lotion, body wash, wipes, citronella patches, and moisturizing cream. The event was also attended by her close friend Andrea Brillantes, who showed her support for Borres’ latest milestone.
