Based on a previous news report, Sen. De Lima has surrendered herself this morning to the arresting team. She was escorted by Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Jose Balajadia to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group’s agents.

The lady Senator is currently facing allegations of involvement in the drug trade inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) when she was the secretary of the Department of Justice.

Reportedly, it was yesterday when the Muntinlupa RTC Branch 204 has issued the warrants of arrest against her, Ronnie Dayan, and Rafael Argos. Dayan is the former bodyguard and driver of the Senator. He was also the former lover and the alleged ‘bagman’ of Sen. De Lima.

Last night, contrary to what was earlier planned, the lady Senator did not spend the night with her family but instead went back to the Senate. She vowed to allow the arresting team to serve her the warrant of arrest on Friday.
