Life as an OFW is not easy as you think, they work hard to a foreign country so that they will be able to earn money to support the daily needs and give a better future to their family.
Many Filipinos gamble their life just to secure the future of their family left in the Philippines.
Unfortunately, not all overseas Filipino worker (OFW) have a good fortune working abroad. One of the issues of OFW’s is being abused by their employer.
Filipinos helped each other if someone is abused by their employer. Concerned Filipinos immediately report the incident and never let other Filipinos suffered too much because they know that it’s not easy to be alone.
Take this story as an example.
Netizen Joan Jone Flores took to social media and shared a photo and a video of an abused Pinay OFW. According to the post, the Pinay has been suffering from abuse from her employers, so she decided to escape.

Flores wrote in her Facebook post that the woman escaped from her abusive workplace. The woman was identified as Ligaya Bersales(Versales) from Bacolod City.
Flores posted a video of Ligaya while describing the physical abused that she endured from her employer.
In a Facebook post of Flores, they found Ligaya at the MacDonald’s branch in Kuwait. At that time Flores is not alone so they decided to take Ligaya at the Filipino Embassy in Kuwait.
Flores ended her post by saying Ligaya is now safe at the embassy but she is asking for help to find her family and informed them that she needs help.
Many netizens express their support and sympathy for Ligaya. One of the commenters said that she identified Ligaya, in fact, she was her neighbor in Cadiz City.
“Diyos ko lord, isang lugar lang poh kami sa pinas hindi poh magkalayo ang bahay namin.. Cadiz City poh sya nakatira… hala oi nang ligaya umuwi ka na lang,” she said.
