VIRAL PHOTO – A photo went trending in social media as it pointed out the gap between the net worth of Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano based on his 2015 Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worths (SALN) and his contribution to the 2016 election campaign of Pres. Rodrigo Duterte.
Recently, news headlines bear reports about certain details regarding the Statement of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE) of the electoral candidates in the 2016 national election.
Based on a previous news report, the SOCE of Pres. Duterte showed that there were wealthy businessmen who had extended donations to the then mayor of Davao City during his campaign for the presidency.
Aside from the wealthy businessmen, one of the top donors of the now-President is his running mate, Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano who ran for the position of the vice president.
Recently, a photo went viral in social media after it showed the gap between the 2015 SALN of Sen. Cayetano and his donation to Pres. Duterte’s campaign in 2016.
As it can be seen in the photo posted in the Facebook page Oras Na, Roxas Na, the net worth of Sen. Cayetano based on his 2015 SALN is P23-million. However, in the 2016 election, he contributed P71-million to his running-mate as seen in the SOCE of Pres. Duterte.
