Singaporean Employer Raises Funds For Her Sick Pinay Helper

Dora Sern, Singaporean employer raises funds for the medication her Filipina helper Felicidad Muna Mico, who suffered a hemorrhagic stroke.

Felicidad has arrived in the country on Monday (November 21, 2016) after she suffered a stroke in Singapore. Her employer who treats the Filipina as part of her family took to crowd-funding site GiveAsia to help raise money for the Pinay’s hospital bills, repatriation, and medication in the Philippines.

Mico was found unconscious on the sofa of their home on October 27, 2016, afternoon. Sern’s son immediately rushed Felicidad to Changi Hospital and admitted in the ICU. Sern said that Felice was diagnosed with a stroke with massive left brain bleeding.

Employer Raises Funds

Sern said that Felice starts working for her 25 years ago and left her daughter Izelmae in the Philippines. Felice signed her last contract last July with Sern because she planned to take care of her grandchildren so her daughter can work abroad.
