The issue regarding the burial of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr. at Libingan ng mga Bayani has continued to spark rounds and rounds of debates for decades. To Pres. Rodrigo ‘Digong’ Duterte, it has even separated the Ilocanos from the other Filipinos.
As the Ilocanos have remained firm on their desire for a burial of Marcos Sr. at the resting ground for heroes and presidents, the opposition, most especially Martial Law victims, have also remained firm on blocking it.
Recently, Pres. Rodrigo ‘Digong’ Duterte gave a go signal on the preparation of the burial of the late dictator at LNMB just as he had said during the election campaign that he will allow it if he assumes the post.
