Atty. Bruce Rivera reacted on the recent claim of Philip Lustre Jr. against Pres. Rodrigo Duterte and for calling him the ‘sick old man from the South’.
The social media has become one of the most used platform for expression of one’s stand over something. Undeniably, rounds and rounds of debates happen on the commentary boxes and statuses entail firm stand over a matter.
Recently, journalist Philip Lustre Jr.’s post in his Facebook account became viral in social media as he expressed his claim that Pres. Duterte tries to control the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
Based on the post attached to a previous news report, the journalist emphasized that the ‘law that governs BSP insulates it from any executive intervention’.
Aside from the BSP, he also stressed that the Anti-Money Laundering Council is protected by a special law from any presidential intervention. He also called Pres. Duterte the ‘sick old man from the South’ in his post.
