BOC Ordered Relief Of Alcaraz A Day After Duterte Announced He Want Corrupt Customs Official To Be Dismissed
Atty. Arnel Alcaraz was relieved from his post a day after President Duterte announced that he wants the corrupt Customs official to be dismissed.
On Tuesday (November 01, 2016), after President Duterte visited his parents grave, he said in an interview that he wants corrupt officials in Customs to be dismissed from their post after the alleged practice of corruption inside the agency.
On Wednesday (November 02, 2016), Bureau of Customs (BOC) ordered the relief of Alcaraz as Customs Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon signed the order for his relief. Alcaraz will be temporarily replaced by Isabelo Tibayan III.
