Motorists Complain Pasig Experimental Odd-Even Traffic Scheme

Motorists complain Pasig experimental odd-even traffic scheme that the city implemented in some roads on Thursday (September 01, 2016).

Every Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays those four-wheel vehicles with plate numbers ending in an odd number will not be allowed on some streets according to the new scheme. Every Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays four-wheel vehicles with plate numbers ending in an even number will not be allowed on those streets.

The traffic schemes include some roads such as:

  • Elisco Road westbound;
  • Jabson Street northbound;
  • Intersection of Elisco Road, M. Concepcion Street, and R. Jabson Street;
  • San Guillermo Street eastbound; and
  • Sandoval Avenue northbound

“Private four-wheeled vehicles and above are those who are not allowed in the odd-even number traffic scheme. Public utility vehicles were exempted on the new scheme,” head of the Traffic and Parking Management Office (TPMO) District 1, Mar Lugto said.
