According to Leni, as everyone desires change, but the ways to be used to attain the peace, a drug-free, and a crime-free society needs to be peaceful as well. Robredo didn’t directly mention the so-called Extra-judicial Kil1ings (EJK).

“Our society faces many problems. Every one of us desires change. But the means for change is important for our peace, not just the kind of change that we aspire for. All Filipinos dream of a society without drugs and crime. But how we will achieve this is as important as the dream itself,” the VP said.

She stated that job of serving the Filipino people needs to be “building the stability of institutions that keep the peace and not deciding who d1es or who lives.”
