Inquirer’s Irresponsible Journalism Lambasted by Netizens

In the latest headline released by Inquirer today, June 14, 2016 they reported the alleged mocking of the terrorist group Abu Sayaff on Mayor Rody Duterte, netizens responded by posting various comments on social media lambasting Inquirer for its alleged irresponsible journalism.

Inquirer

An avid supporter of Mayor Rody Duterte, Aris Aguirre, the son of the incoming Department of Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre posted on his official Facebook account that the Inquirer should be named “Enquirer” and questioned the headlines by asking who is the President right now?

According to Inquirer’s report, Abu Sayyaf kidnapper on Monday announced that they had beh3ad3d another Canadian hostage in Sulu Province, taunting incoming President Rodrigo Duterte on his promise to exert his best efforts to recover him alive.

Some netizen argued on the headlines of Inquirer as they noted that right now the Armed Forces of the Philippines as well as the Philippine National Police and any other government agencies are under the administration of President Benigno S. Aquino, how come the bias media who uses interpretative journalism released such a malicious report inciting doubt among Filipino netizens that the incoming President is not doing his job.

During the campaign period, the outgoing Mayor of Davao City promised to get rid of any illegal elements in the country including the terrorist group Abu Sayyaf who wrought havoc in Mindanao. Although he is not the president yet, Mayor Duterte is doing its best to help in the hostage crisis in Mindanao with the help of the intelligence community but he could not exert an all out effort because he is not yet the President.
