Robinsons Malls considered as one of the country’s largest mall developer revealed to the media about the plans of Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) to build 20 more malls in the Philippines in the next five years. Out of the 20 malls to be built in different parts of the country, two of them will be in the Province of Cebu.
According to Frederick D. Go, RLC President and Chief Operating Officer, the company is setting aside as much as P17 billion as capital expenditure for fiscal year 2016, the company’s fiscal year will start every October.
The latest Robinsons Mall opened in the city of Cebu on Thursday, the third mall by the Gokongwei-led company, the Robinsons Galleria in Cebu City. The Robinsons network of malls is now at 41 nationwide according to the documents released by Robinsons.
The Robinsons Galleria in Cebu is RLS’ third biggest in the Philippines and considered as the biggest Robinsons Mall in the Visayas and Mindanao area.
One of the new Robinsons Mall in the Province of Cebu will be constructed in the northern city of Bogo as RLC announced earlier that they already acquired a 9-hectare property in northern portion of the Province of Cebu.
