The 44-year-old Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano declared his intentions to run for Vice President during his visit to Mayor Duterte’s bailwick, Davao City.

Sen. Cayetano is just one of the three Nacionalista Party members who wants to run for higher office in 2016 which also include, Sen. Antonio Trillanes for Vice President while Sen. Bongbong Marcos is still undecided whether to run for President or Vice President.

The intentions of the Senate Majority Floor Leader, Sen. Cayetano to run for Vice President push through even without the official backing of the Nacionalista Party and a running-mate for President but he expressed his intentions to join forces with Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte who is still undecided.

According to Sen. Cayetano during a press conference announcing his intentions to run for Vice President, he said that he sees himself in the role of an “agenda-setter, of a fiscalizer, of a drum-beater” to whoever will be elected president in 2016.
