The country’s weather bureau, Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warned the Filipino public that a tropical depression might enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Wednesday, September 23, 2015.
PAGASA noted that the latest weather disturbance that might hit the country was last seen at 2,400 kilometers east of Luzon, weather forecaster Aldczar Aurelio stated.
According to PAGASA, once the tropical depression will enter the Philippines, it will be locally named as Bagyong “Jenny.” Although the country’s weather bureau already confirmed of the possibility of the tropical depression to enter the Philippines, they could not say how the cyclone would affect the country in the coming days.
Aside from the possible tropical depression that might hit the country in the next few days, PAGASA also warned of the Intertropical Convergenze Zone, a breeding ground for potential cyclones, which is currently affecting the Visayas and Mindanao region.
Cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and isolated thunderstorms will be experienced over the Western Visayas, Caraga, SOCCSKSARGEN and Davao Region, Pagasa said.
In Metro Manila and the rest of the country, there will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms
