Another Filipino contestants named Neneth Lyons made it to the elite list of official contestant in the world renowned “X Factor UK” after she made it the next round of the competition as she gets the nods of the show’s jurors.
The former Hong Kong-based Filipina singer staged an emotional performance during the show’s auditoin with her own rendition of the popular song “Somewhere” originally sing by Barbra Streisand. The song was one of her favorite during the time when she was still working in Hong Kong.
Neneth Lyons got positive comments from the show’s judges particularly judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versino who noted that her performance was “spellbinding” and stunning.
Aside from judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versino, Neneth Lyons also won the praise of judges Nick Grimshaw and Simon Cowell. The 37-year-old performer received four “yes” votes from the judges during the show’s third week of auditions at Wembley Stadium in London last Sunday.
Neneth Lyons now joined the other Filipinos in the competitions namely, Jenessa Gill and the all-Filipino girl group 4th Power.
