The word war between two camps has not yet cooled off.

Following Vice President Jejomar Binay’s camp hit against Malacañang, now it’s time Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda to lash back, and he did.

Binay earlier criticized Lacierda’s “arrogant” and “shrill” remarks.

However, in a text message Lacierda said Monday that countering the “lies” of the Binay camp against the Aquino administration should not be treated as a personal attack.

“Tell them it’s not personal. It’s a truth campaign and the vice president cannot, with all due respect, cannot handle the truth,” Lacierda said.

Lacierda also accused that Binay has started his presidential campaign with lies.

“We’re addressing all the lies of the Vice President against the President ever since he started his presidential run with lies, lies and more lies,” he said.

Binay also called the Aquino administration as “manhid” and “palpak.”

With what the presidential spokesperson said, Joey Salgado, the media affairs head of the office of the Vice President, said that Lacierda again failed to answer the tirades thrown by their camp.

“Until now, Secretary Lacierda has failed to make a decently coherent reply to the issues raised by the Vice President, particularly the lack of jobs despite economic growth,” Salgado said in a statement on Monday.

Salgado added that Interior Secretary Mar Roxas has failed to explain the alleged irregularities in the MRT which transpired during his stint as transportation secretary.

He said that the “abrasive” attacks from the administration was the result of panic because of the surging and satisfaction ratings of the vice president.
