Former Palace employee Ruby Tuason appeared again to testify against convicted Senator Jinggoy Estrada in the bail hearing before the Sandiganbayan 5th Division.
Tuason, choosing truth over friendship with the senator, revealed to the court that she handed a total of P19 million in kickbacks to Estrada on several occasions.
Purportedly, the kickbacks was from pork barrel funds that was diverted by the senator to non-government organizations.
She further attested that she brought the money to Estrada’s home in Greenhills, at the Senate or at the senator’s satellite office in Pacific Star Building.
However, the Senator hit back again Tuason saying she was telling lies.
“She wanted to save herself,” he said.
The court is set to hear more from Tuason on June 29 who also admitted to benefiting from the pro barrel scam.
