Veteran action star Robin Padilla revealed some of the reasons why he wants to campaign for Mayor Rodrigo Duterte once the controversial mayor of Davao City decides to run for President in the 2016 national elections. The actor even offered to be the campaign manager of Mayor Duterte.
In an interview, the 45-year-old Robin Padilla was quoted as saying “”Si Duterte po ang susuportahan ko,” Padilla said. “We are a sick nation, we are a sick people, we need a sick leader, itutulak na namin siya” the actor added.
When the bad boy of Philippine cinema was asked on how he will support Mayor Duterte he answered, if given the chance he can be Duterte’s campaign manager.
Robin Padilla visits the Lower House of the Philippine Congress to show support for the Bangsamoro Basic Law. Aside from being an open supporter of Mayor Duterte, the actor also expressed his intentions of supporting the controversial Bangsamoro Basic Law.
According to Robin Padilla he and Mayor Duterte have long talked about the issue of running for president of the Republic of the Philippines after he successfully lead the city of Davao who was recognized by international communities as one of the safest cities in the world.
Mayor Duterte earlier stated that he is now considered running for President in the 2016 elections after being fed up with the criticisms being thrown at him. Mayor Duterte was under attacked by Justice Secretary Leila de Lim and former Commission on Human Rights chairwoman Etta Rosales.
