The latest romantic comedy movie featuring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla titled “Crazy Beautiful You” earned more than P162 million after one week of showing in various theaters nationwide. The announcement was revealed through Twitter by Star Cinema’s AdProm executive Roxy Liquigan on Thursday, March 5, 2015.
According to Roxy Liquigan, the valentine’s month movie offering of Star Cinema reached an unprecedented success during its first week of showing in more than 200 theaters nationwide as it conquered the Philippine box office in terms of local movies.
The movie “Crazy Beautiful You” have already shattered numerous box office records in the Philippines, as the movie became the first Pinoy film to earn 5 million pesos on its first hour of showing.
In the first day of the KathNiel movie, the gross receipt of the movie reached P38 million, making it the first Filipino movie to register such a huge box office gross on its first day of showing nationwide.
During earlier reports, Star Cinema’s AdProm manager Mico del Rosario revealed that from 178 theaters showing the movie it rose to 250 movie theaters after just one day.
The movie “Crazy Beautiful You” also set a record for the first ever movie to set up a total of 88 block screenings held simultaneously throughout the country on its first day alone.
The KathNiel Movie also earned more than P110 million in just five days of showing in various theaters nationwide.
