Ogie Alcasid to Donate His “MuSIKATin” Talent Fee to Families of Fallen 44

OPM singer-actor Ogie Alcasid will be having a concert titled “MuSIKATin” this coming February 20, 2015 and he promised that he will donate his talent fee for the said concert to the families of the Fallen 44 or the elite member of the PNP-SAF troopers who were killed during the encounter in Mamasapano, Maguindanao.

The “MuSIKATin” concert will be held at the country’s largest indoor dome, the Philippine Arena in Bulacan. The statement was released by Ogie Alcasid on Tuesday during the press conference of the all-OPM concert.

According to 47-year-old singer-songwriter, he has a friend in the PNP, that he contacted already to personally give his talent fee although it’s not much but as part of his gesture to honor the fallen 44, he dedicated his upcoming concert to them and to their families.

The husband of Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid also confirmed to the media that the concert will also pay tribute to the fallen 44 via a special song number.

The “MuSIKATin” concert is a celebration of the biggest OPM hits from the last five decades featuring the show’s musical director, the veteran Ryan Cayabyab which will lead the OPM artists showcasing the best love songs, folk, rap, rock and roll, novelty and dance music.

The concert is directed by Paolo Valenciano which will also feature veteran OPM icons Hajji Alejandro, Rey Valera, Michael V., alongside with Angeline Quinto, Lovi Poe, Solenn Heussaff, Gloc-9, Jett Pangan and Vernie Varga.
