Top 10 TV Shows in the Philippines for January 2015

The Philippines largest TV Network, ABS-CBN maintained its ratings lead at the start of the year 2015 according to the latest results released by independent tabulator Kantar Media. ABS-CBN TV Programs took nine of the 10 spots in the list of the most watched programs across the country.

Top Shows

The Kapamilya Channel dominated the rating game against its rival GMA-7 or the Kapuso Network. ABS-CBN got a national viewership of 42% in January 2015 while GMA-7 and TV5 only got 36% and 10% respectively during the first month of the year.

The lead of ABS-CBN was due to its dominant primetime TV series and weekend offerings which include, “Dream Dad” and “Maalaala Mo Kaya,” which led the list of top-rating shows in the country for the month of January 2015.

The TV series Dream Dad featuring Zanjoe Marudo ranked first in primetime with a 25.8% average in nationwide ratings, while the longest-running drama anthology in Philippine TV, Maalaala Mo Kaya trailed closely with 25.5% average rating.

Aside from the top two mentioned programs, ABS-CBN series “Forevermore” and the Kapamilya Channel’s flagship newscast “TV Patrol,” followed at the No. 3 and No. 4 spot with 24% and 23.7% average rating respectively.

9. GMA-7’s “Magpakailanman” (19.9%)
10. “Two Wives” and “Mga Kwento ni Marc Logan” tied (18.9%).
