The phenomenal comedian and box-office actor Vice Ganda said that he wants his latest movie “The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin,” an entry for this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), to earn P600 million.

In a press conference for the movie held on weekend, the kapamilya star said that he is expecting the comedy film to earn P600 million,adding that there is nothing wrong if he would claim it.
“Siguro mga…P600 [million]…I-six hundred na natin para kung hindi man matupad, may P500 [million] pa. Kung hindi man matupad, may P400 [million] pa. Wala naman mawawala kung ike-claim,” he said.
Director Wenn Deramas, for his part, said that he believes that the sequel will surpass the income of the first installment “The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin,” which earned a total of P342 million.
“Ako pinanghahawakan ko ang laki ng kinita ng unang Praybeyt Benjamin. To think hindi pa [MMFF] nung inere namin…October yun [pinalabas],” he said.
Wenn Deramas revealed also that Vice Ganda’s movies have already earned P 1.5 billion since he started in showbiz industry. The films includes “Petrang Kabayo,” “The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin,” “Sisterakas” and “Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy.”
“The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin,” which will be released on December 25, 2014, will compete with other entries, including “Feng Shui 2,” “Shake, Rattle & Roll 14,” “English Only, Please,” “Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo,” “My Bossing’s Adventures” and “Muslim Magnum .357.”
