The kapamilya star Jodi Sta. Maria will be portraying the role of Amor Powers in the remake of phenomenal hit series “Pangako Sa ‘Yo” while, Angelica Panganiban will portray Amor’s rival, Claudia Buenavista.

In the teaser which was released on Tuesday night December 2, 2014, during the “Kapamilya Thank You” trade event of Kapamilya network, a confrontation scene between the characters of Jodi Sta. Maria and Angelica Panganiban was seen.
The three-minute video features also the popular teen star Kathryn Bernardo, who will play the leading role of Yna Buenavista, the love interest of Angelo Buenavista, played by Daniel Padilla. “Pangako Sa ‘Yo” was originally starred by Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa.
“Pangako Sa ‘Yo” became also popular because of the rivalry between the characters of Amor Powers, previously played by Eula Valdez and Claudia Buenavista, portrayed by Jean Garcia.
Jodi Sta. Maria, who is also part of the original casts, previously denied the reports, saying that she want to take a rest after the recently concluded top-rating daytime series “Be Careful With My Heart.”
“Pangako Sa ‘Yo” will be produced by Star Creatives, the production unit behind the top-rating series “The Legal Wife,” “Forevermore,” “Princess & I” and “Got To Believe.” The remake, directed by returning director Rory Quintos, is set to be aired next year, 2015.
Before the movie will make its debut , Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla will star first in the upcoming movie for Valentine’s day with veteran actors and actresses Lorna Tolentino and Gabby Concepcion.
