Actress-host Mariel Rodriguez returned to ABS-CBN on Monday, June 23, 2014 as one of the judges of top-rating noontime show, “It’s Showtime” for this week.
After she was introduced as the new “hurado” on “It’s Showtime”, the 29-year-old former Kapamilya star became one of the most talked about topic on micro-blogging site, Twitter. Some netizens even expressed their happiness over the return of award-winning host.
During her first appearance on “It’s Showtime”, Mariel Rodriguez took the floor and gave her “sampol.” The wife of action star Robin Padilla performs Robert Klein’s hit single “Fallin” and she even danced to Vice Ganda’s viral hit “Boom Panes” prior to the request of the “madlang pipol.”
Mariel Rodriguez also visited the country’s most popular yellow house, “Pinoy Big Brother” house, according to television host Bianca Gonzalez where she posted a photo with the following caption:
“Waaaaaah!!!! Ang saya!!!!! Nagulantang ang buong bahay (office lang) ni Kuya sa pagbisita ng napakagandang si @marieltpadilla!!!! We miss you sooooo much!!!” Bianca Gonzalez wrote as the accompanying caption to the photo she shared.
Mariel Rodriguez came to prominence upon hosting top-rated ABS-CBN programs including the defunct noontime shows, “Wowowee” and “Pilipinas Win Na Win”. She also co-hosted such seasons of PBB along with Bianca Gonzalez and Toni Gonzaga.
Mariel Rodriguez left the country’s leading television network in 2011 to join TV5’s defunct game shows, “Wiltime Bigtime” and “Wowowillie” along with actor-host Willie Revillame.
