Actor-director Ricky Davao has aired a statement to deny his reported rift with actress Judy Ann Santos.
The issue between the 50-year-old veteran actor and the 36-year-old multi-awarded actress broke out after Judy Ann Santos reportedly back-out on the Cinemalaya 2014 entry “Mariquina” after she learned that Ricky Davao replaces Joel Torre.
In an interview with the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP.ph), Ricky Davao admitted that he felt upset after Judy Ann Santos withdrawn on her role in the movie.
Reports earlier surfaced that schedule was among the reason why Judy Ann Santos did not pursue the movie. However, she has yet to issue any statement regarding her reported rift with Ricky Davao.
Meanwhile, Ricky Davao is now directing the upcoming TV series of GMA, “Dading” which marked as the first lead role of Gabby Eigenmann. The comedy-family drama series also stars with Glaiza de Castro, Benjamin Alves and Chynna Ortaleza. “Dading” is set to premiere this coming June 23, 2014.
Ricky Davao came to prominence after starring in various films and television series in the country including his last stint in defunct GMA TV series, “Mirabella.” He is the husband of actress Jackie Lou Blanco.
Judy Ann Santos on the other hand rose to fame upon her spectacular performances which ruled in big screens and TV. She was even hailed with numerous awards and citations including her 15 “Best Actress” awards, 77 nominations and 4 Box Office titles.
