Filipina overseas worker Rose Fostanes, who turned to a singing sensation after winning the “X-factor” Israel says that she is still the same ‘Osang’ that her family and friends know.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, the 47-year-old singer said that though she already gained her prominence, she is still the same person that everyone have known before.
“Kung ano ako dati, ganun pa din ako ngayon. Di ako kailangang mag bago. Kung saan ako nagsimula yun pa rin,” she said.
Rose Fostanes said that she is the bread winner of their family and that prompted her to seek brighter opportunities abroad. She believes that it is impossible for her to find a good job since she has not finished her studies.
Her singing skills was enhanced when she joined several competitions while she is in the country. She also spend her rest day performing in a small club in Israel.
Rose Fostanes said that it was her friend who encouraged her to join the “X-Factor” Israel. Rose said that she was not confident on herself that time since she always lose in the competitions she joined.
Rose Fostanes auditioned in the singing competition and luckily passed the audition until she was declared as the grand winner.
Though she is no longer working as a caregiver, Rose Fostanes is still grateful to her employer who supported her from the start. She added that her employer was behind her success.
Meanwhile, Rose Fostanes is currently busy promoting her debut album entitled “My Way” under the Star Records.
