Filipino-American model John Spainhour will be representing the country in the Mr. World 2014 in London on June 15, 2014. He is slated to leave the country for England today, May 30, 2014 as he prepares for the upcoming pageant.

The 26-year-old North Carolina native was chosen to represent Philippines after a thorough deliberation and selection made by CQ Global Quest at Glorietta 5 in Makati City on Thursday, May 29, 2014. CQ Global Quest, Inc., is an organization led by Cory Quirino, Miss World Philippines’ official licensee.
John Spainhour is a former U.S. military who was stationed in Iraq for more than five years before he ventured into modelling. Prior to his stint as an army, he used to work as a scout sniper under the US Marine Corp.
The 6-foot-1 model who came to Manila in 2011 won his first ever title in the country via a local fitness competition Century Tuna Superbods in April 2012. On the same year, the country marked a name when Filipino-British athlete Andrew Woolf won as first-runner up in Mr. World.
The Filipino-American model said that he is really thankful for “KrisTV” hosted by Kris Aquino where he debuted television exposure after being invited to co-host the show.
According to the actress-host, she was able to invite John Spainhour through her Instagram followers. He is the guy spotted on the viral photo of Kris Aquino which was previously speculated her anew suitor.
Meanwhile, Sam Ajdani was announced to represent the country in the Mister World 2015. The 23-year-old Filipino-Japanese-Persian model has been residing the Philippines for 10 years already.
