The 2014 Bar Examination will be held at the University of Sto. Tomas in Metro Manila as the Supreme Court decided to hold the country’s most difficult exam at UST for the fourth consecutive year.
In a resolution dated April 22, 2014, the Supreme Court (SC) en banc, approved the recommendation of Associate Justice Diosdado Peralta, the chairman of the 2014 Bar Exam Committee, and the Office of the Bar Confidant (OBC) to hold the 2014 Bar exam in UST.
The Supreme Court noted that they will begin negotiations with the 403-year old school campus located in España, Manila for the 2014 Bar Exam.
Since the year 2011, the Bar Exam was held yearly at the UST Campus, a year after a blast rocked the De La Salle University (DLSU) campus at Taft Avenue where a total of 47 people were injured.
According to the Supreme Court of the Philippines, the 2014 Bar Exams will be conducted this coming Four Sundays of October: Oct. 5, 12, 19, and 26, 2014.
The High Court also announced that they will start accepting 2014 Bar Examinees through the OBC this coming June 1, 2014 and will end on July 15, 2014.
Last February 2014, the Supreme Court released the syllabus of the 2014 Bar Examinations. Bar Exam 2014 covers subjects or topics such as Political Law, Labor Law, Civil Law, Taxation, Mercantile law, Criminal Law and Legal and Judicial Ethics.
