Various malls in the country including most SM Malls already announced that they will be closed on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday this coming April 17 and 18, 2014. Mall operations will resume on Black Saturday, April 19, 2014.
The Philippine government also declared Maundy Thursday and Good Friday as Regular Holiday while the Black Saturday on April 19 is declared by Malacanang as a SPecial Non-Working Holiday.
Major malls in the country will give time to their employees to enjoy their long Holy Week celebration as majority of Roman Catholic Filipinos will spend their Holy Week together with their families on their provinces.
