Filipino American singer Malaya Watson made a spectacular performance during the Final 13 of the American Idol Season 13 held on February 26 (US Time) as she performed the song “Runaway Baby” popularized by fellow Fil-Am singer Bruno Mars.

The American Idol Season 2014 Top 13 Finalist Live Show is themed with “This Is Me” Performance night. The contestants of the American Idol Finals choose their own song to perform during the show.
All of the Top 13 American Idol finalist compete for next week’s spot as they choose songs that fit the them “This Is Me.” During Malaya Watson’s performance of the song “Runaway Baby” she was applauded by the three American Idol judges especially the energy that she brought on American Idol stage.
The Filipino communities in the United States were urged to vote for Malaya Watson right after her performance. They used the number 1-855-4-IDOL-02 when they voted for Malaya Watson.

Keith Urban: You’re energy is so contagious on the stage so much.
Jennifer Lopez: I love your energy. You came out on stage like a superstar. But it wasn’t your best performance. I think you’re a contender on this show baby.
Harry Connick Jr: I think you are a contender too. You remind me of so much when I was high school. You’re a bit nervous.
