San Mig Wins Over Rain or Shine Moved One Win Away from the Title

The San Mig Coffee Mixers defeated the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters during the Game Four of the PBA Philippine Cup or the All Filipino Conference leading the series with 3-1 advantage and one win closer to the crown.

The Mixers defeated the Elasto Painters with the final score at 93-90 during the Game Four of the Best-of-Seven Finals series held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum held on Friday, February 21, 2014.

Top-rated rookie Ian Sangalang led the offensive charge of the Coffee Mixers as he was able to score 17 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field aside from tallying eight rebounds in just 23 minutes of playing time. 

PBA MVP and veteran James Yap added with 17 points tied with former Gilas Pilipinas member Mark Barroca as they rallied the team on a balanced attack versus the boys of Yeng Guiao’s Elasto Painters. 

Despite the absence of ace defender Marc Pingris, whose right eye got accidentally poked by JR Quinahan during the third quarter, the big man of the Coffee Mixers managed to step and proved their worth as a player. 

Rain or Shine ace point guard had an impressive night scoring with 28 points during Game Four of the PBA Finals. Rain or Shine big man JR Quinahan also scored with 11 points while Beau Belga added with 10 points.
