Rudy Gay Injures Achilles a Night After Big Game

Following a 41-point explosion just the night before, Sacramento forward Rudy Gay has injured his left Achilles tendon at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

Gay, who has been helping the Kings’ on-going impressive run this January injured right in the first quarter of their visit with the Rockets and did not return since then. He was examined at the locker room and further details will be release on Thursday.

The 6’8 high-scoring forward averaged, 20.2 points and 6.2 rebounds prior to the game. His shooting percentage improved dramatically with 53 percent shooting mark.

Gay, who was traded December 9 last year from Toronto, has quickly adapted to the Kings’ offense while starting all 21 games since his acquisition. Sacramento Kings sports a 15-25 record with Rudy Gay as one of the most instrumental player on the team.

Rudy Gay is under contract with the Kings through the next season.
