Yolanda Made Fourth Landfall in Bantayan Island Cebu

The Supertyphoon Yolanda made a fourth landfall in Bantayan, Island in the northern part of the Cebu Province according to PAGASA on their 11:00 AM updates. Yolanda landed in Bantayan at around 10:40 AM, November 8, 2013.

The eye of Typhoon “YOLANDA” was located 15km West of Bantayan Island, Cebu (11.2°N, 123.6°E). (DOST-PAGASA). According to initial reports coming from Bantayan Island, some schools in Madridejos were damaged.

In Barangay Suba, Bantayan Cebu, some houses facing Botong islets were heavily damaged.

The third landfall was reported by PAGASA as it hits Daan Bantayan at around 9;40 AM. Based upon the previous landfall records of PAGASA, the Supertyphoon made a second landfall over Dulag-Tolosa, Leyte with a maximum sustained winds of 235 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 275 kph.

PAGASA also raised Storm Signals in more than 58 areas in the Central Part of the Philippines particularly in the Visayas Region
