The highly-anticipated action sequel of of G.I. Joe movie, the “G.I.: Retaliation” currently led the North American Box Office in its debut weekend, the movie have already earned a total of $41.2 Million on its debut weekend.
The movie which featured Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Channing Tatum and Bruce Willis is based on a toy action figures first introduced during the early 60’s and later turned into one of the most successful animated TV series in the 1980’s.
The “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” was postponed by Paramount from its original release in order to add 3D effects, the movie is the sequel of the 2009 movie, “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.”
Last week’s top grossing movie, titled “The Croods” featuring Nicolas Cage and Emma Stone dropped to second spot in box office income, it took home, $26.5 million on it’s second week, based upon the records published by box office tracker Exhibitor Relations.
