The National Hero of the Republic of the Philippines Jose Rizal, will be celebrating his 100th anniversary this coming December 30, 2012. The Philippines through the event organizer Order of the Knights of Rizal said it expects re-enactment of the transfer of Rizal’s remains to be in the same solemn fashion as state funerals.
The Philippine President Benigno Simeon Aquino III is scheduled to spearhead the ceremony leading to the re-interment of Rizal’s remains. The PNP were already advised to secure the vicinity of the areas where the remains of the National Hero will p(–foul word(s) removed–)ed through.
The (–foul word(s) removed–)embly time will start at around 4:00 in Binondo, at the Basilica Minor of San Lorenzo Ruiz, near San Fernando Street where Rizal’s family once lived. The march will start at around 5:00 A.M. The funeral parade will be concluded at the Luneta Park where the urn will be symbolically buried at the base of the Rizal monument.
