Giants Defeated the Tigers with 3-0 World Series Lead

Filipino-American Tim Lincecum team’ the San Francisco Giants are on the verge of a World Series Title after they defeated the Detroit Tigers three-times in row and currently leads the World Series best of seven finals.

According to the records of the Major League Baseball, all 23 teams who have led the World Series with 3-0 advantage have gone to win the title.

There 20 teams who won the title in four straight wins, while the remaining three won their title during their fifth games.

Although the Tigers will unlikely to win the World Series but they were determined enough to proved something that they can beat the odds. The team wanted to become the first team to overcome a 3-0 deficit.

During Game 3 of the World Series Ryan Vogelsong escaped trouble three times and Gregor Blanco hit a go-ahead triple to gave the Giants a third straight victory.

As of press time, the San Francisco Giants and the Detroit Tigers were battling for Game 4, a chance for the Giants to capture the title and the Tigers hoped to extend it to Game 5.

The Game tied heading into the bottom of the 9th inning at 3-all.
