The Kuwait Al-Azraq was able to continue to the third round of qualification round after they defeated the Philippines in the second round but in the third round they were defeated and eliminated by a much stronger Asian team, the South Korean National Football Team.

Two of the most popular names in Kuwait National Football Team were the no. 7 Fahad Al-Enezi dubbed as the Middle East’s Ronaldinho together with the no. 11 Fahad Al-Ansari.

The no. 20 player from Kuwait, Yousef Nasair, on the other hand was the first player to score against the Philippines during the 2014 AFC World Cup Qualifier between the Philippines and Kuwait.
