The Philippine Azkals will try to secure a second win in their second outing against the visiting Macau team for the Philippine Peace Cup 2012 held at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
The Azkals was able to secure three points on their first game against Guam last September 25, 2012 with a late goal from Patrick Reichelt, who scored the lone goal of the game at around 80th minutes.
Meanwhile their opponent today at around 7:30 PM, the national team of Macau was able to secure a draw against powerhouse Chinese Taipei on their first outing in the Philippine Peace Cup with a total of two goals scored by Ricardo Joao De Almeida Torrao and Kin Seng Chan.
The Philippines and Macau have a strong international football ties and they have met for the past few games especially during the 2010 and 2011 Long Teng Cup in Taiwan.
The Macau National have a record of their biggest international win with a 5-1 results against the Philippines. The Azkals on the other hand avenged their lost during the 2010 Long Teng Cup when the Philippines won with 5-0 goals which resulted the third place finished of the Azkals.
During the 2011 Long Teng Cup the Philippines defeated Macau once again as they held Macau scoreless with a 2-nil card. The Philippines finished as a runner-up to eventual champion Hongkong.
The Philippines on their match-up against Guam should watch out for the latest acquisition of Macau, the half-Portuguese half Portuguese players Ricardo Joao De Almeida Torrao and Iuri Kaewchang Capelo.
