Freddie Roach at present is one of the most popular trainers, in fact declared as Five-time Trainer of the Year. His prized ward is the eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines.

In an interview with RingTV.com, Coach Freddie Roach made a statement saying that the Boxing King Manny Pacquiao will make his decision about the upcoming fights after the Christmas holidays. He added that Manny wants to spend quality time with his family this holiday, weigh up things, and finally make a decision.

Rushing up things is not the option for Freddie Roach Team.

The coach said that it is more reasonable for his boxer Manny Pacquiao to fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr, who still remains undefeated, than to challenge the Mexican Boxer Juan Manuel Marquez for a 4th rematch.

November 12 marked Pacquiao’s 3rd match with Marquez wherein the Filipino boxer was pronounced the as winner. However, many analysts said that the Champ’s moves were not that convincing. Rumors even spread that numerous boxing analysts believed that Marquez should have won the fight.

Evaluating the financial side of the future fight, Coach Freddie stated that challenging Marquez for another fight will only give them $30 million. A $100 million gain would make a big difference if he will fight against Floyd Mayweather this time.

Setting aside the prize ward’s decision, Coach Freddie believes that Pacquiao’s biggest fight would probably be against Mayweather Jr especially that Pacquiao’s performance was described to be not-that-good during the Pacquiao-Marquez Third Match.

If this happens, the fight between the Pound for Pound King Manny Pacquiao and the undefeated Floyd Mayweather would be the most challenging and most-awaited fight in world of boxing at present.

We will know Pacquiao’s decision regarding that matter when the holiday is over.
