The journey of the 89 beauties vying for the most coveted Miss Universe crown for this year is about to end as the Most Beautiful Day in the Universe kicks off today, September 12 ( Sept. 13 in the Philippines) as the crown will be put to the new beauty legend.
Miss Universe 2011 would be taking place a few minutes as of press time in Sao Paulo, Brazil were beauties had stayed and honed their characters and potentials that will surely wow the universe.
As part of preparations, the 89 gorgeous ladies had to spend 10 hours of trainings each day as the coronation night is fastly approaching.
This year’s pageant marks the 60th year of the Miss Universe who is considered to be one of the prestigious beauty and brain competition across the world.
The coronation night is such a big show that everything has to be perfect. Numerous production numbers from the candidates were set together with the special performances from the selected performers.
Hosting the big night were Natale Morale and Andy Cohen.
Furthermore, judging the prestigious event were Adrienne Maloof who was best known from the hit series “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”, Miss Universe 2003 Amelia Vega, popular broadcast legend Connie Chung, racer Helios Castroneves, supermodel Isabeli Fontana , actress/television producer Vivica Fox and Filipina Tony- Award Winning Actress and Singer Lea Salonga.
Another significant event for this 60th year of Miss Universe is for the first time, there will be Top 16 candidates who will compete for the final 5, and the uniqueness of this Top 16 was that a candidate who will lead in the online poll spearheaded by missuniverse.com will complete the list.
And currently, one of the strongest name with great potential to lead the online poll was the Philippines bet Shamcey Supsup.
This could be the end for something new.
