President Benigno Aquino III
SONA 2011 of the President Benigno Aquino III

During the 2nd State of the Nation Address (SONA) of the President of the Philippine -Benigno Aquino III on Monday afternoon July 25, 2011 he delivered the report about the success of anti-Wang-Wang campaign and bragged the increase in the credit rating of the country indicating that would help to reduce the interest of the country’s borrowing costs.

According to the president the increase in the credit ratings is a healthy indication of good governance in his administration. Within the first four months in office the administration has saved more than P23-billion from the interest payments which is good enough compared to the previous administration under the former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. And the saved amount is enough to finance other government programs to help poor Filipinos.

Aquino also have mentioned about the good record in the stock market in his term, the decrease of the unemployment rate and increase of tax remittance from the business, professionals and self-employed taxpayers.

At the same time during the SONA of the President, protesters went to the street of Commonwealth Avenue to demonstrate their sentiments bringing their artwork and burning the president’s effigy to show to the administration that he fails to address the economic problem.
