At least twenty two (22) people were reported to have died due to the continuing heat wave occurring in the central and southern part of the United States.
Authorities said that mercury level might rise up to 100 degrees on the coming days especially in Wichita, Kansas.
Heat wave had begun last May and as forecasted by the National Weather Service, chances is that the heat wave might continue until August.
The impact of this heat wave is devastating as it had caused damage to properties may it be infrastructure or plants and crops.
This kind of heat wave according to report can be compared to the level of damage and harm brought over by the 1995 heat wave wherein one of the highly affected states is Chicago. Furthermore, the said 1995 heat wave had been the reason for the loss of lives to hundreds of people.
Furthermore, according to National Weather Service, 141 million people are experiencing the heat wave coming from over 24 states. Aside from that crops in the affected states are also suffering as well as the livestocks.
The scorching heat as described by Chris Vaccaro, Weather Service Spokesman as published is draining, physically draining.
Aside from death records, there were number of people also who were brought to hospitals for medication just like in Wichita and Des Moines, Iowa. Wichita had encountered 25 incidents while Iowa had 16 cases related to heat wave.
