Noted as Europe’s long-time bachelor, the famous Prince Albert II had finally tied the knot with a former Olympic swimmer named Charlene Wittstock of South Africa.
There were dozens of guests who were present during the ceremony when the couple Prince Albert II and Charlene Wittstock had finally exchanged their vows.
This significant event marked that Wittstock succeeds Grace Kelly who is in line with the beautiful faces in the Hollywood. Looking back in the year 1956, Kelly wedded Prince Rainier III who is noted to be the late father of Prince Albert II. Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier III were known to have three kids who were unfortunately reported to be with him when he died from a car accident. Such incident took place in 1982.
Reports said that Prince Albert II and Charlene Wittstock had developed a romantic relationship in 2000. That time, a swimming competition was held in Monaco where Wittstock was listed to be one of the swimming participants. Following many frequent social activities Prince Albert II eventually set an eye to Wittstock. Their acquaintances soon grew into a closer relationship until the couple decided to wed.
Like Wittstock, Albert was also recognized to be an athlete in the Olympics. In fact, he was able to compete in five Winter Olympics. Further reports tell that since 1985, Albert was listed to be International Olympic Committee member.
Prince Albert II, 53, was noted to have been involved in several romantic relationships with many beautiful females. There was even an instance when he was mistakenly called to be a gay. Such rumor simply ended when he was reported to have fathered a teenaged girl and a young boy. The two children were from a woman from California while the other was from a Togolese stewardess respectively.
