Following the huge damage caused by the Japan earthquake to the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant three months ago, the UK government is still determined to build nuclear plants in various sites.

A plan was recently approved and was declared by the government of UK that nuclear plants will adjacently be built so there will be new sources of power supply in the future.

There would be eight prospected sites to rise when the year reaches 2025. Citing the enumerated locations, the nuclear power plants will soon rise in the sites namely identified to be in Bradwell, Essex; Wylfa, Anglesey; Hartlepool;  Heysham, Lancashire; Hinkley Point, Somerset; Oldbury, Gloucestershire; Sellafield, Cumbria; and likewise to the Sizewell, Suffolk.

Some questions were raised regarding the possible harmful outcomes that might occur when people will try to make use of nuclear to gain a source of power. Effects were already seen during the radioactive leak happened last March in Japan due to the damaged Fukushima nuclear plant.

In this wise, the plan of building nuclear power plants in UK had been issued for public inquiry and awareness as it will then undergo several debating sessions in the Parliament. Votes will then be gathered so as to know the decision of the majority.

While those activities are still about to be pursued, the UK ministers still carries the hope the many will agree to pursue the upcoming plan expecting that everyone will be able to have a source of  energy for a low cost.

According to the UK Energy Minister named Charles Hendry, the project will only invest at least £100bn which is known to be twice of the energy investments over the past years.
